Danish Food...
Dill dressing was an obvious one to me - sweetish mild mustard and lots of dill is lovely on a slice of rye bread with salami, and all in one convenient bottle...
Remoulade took a bit of investigation - but found out what it was, what was in it and solved the mystery of why the roast beef sandwich from the bakery tasted so much better than my homemade efforts... So, in short, it's a sauce that's kind of a cross between mayonnaise, mustard and horseradish with egg, pickled cucumber, onion and herbs. Needless to say, it tastes a damn sight better than it sounds, and is a vital ingredient - along with fried onion - for any sandwich.
Worked out what Pålægchokolade was, having eaten a few slices on their own - it's very thin slices of chocolate to go on a sandwich. Genius... and good by themselves too, though am getting quite fond of Tom's Guld Bar (still haven't tried the chocolate turtles or frogs). Toms also do very good liquorice mixes, though GaJol pastilles and Tyrkisk Peber (a spicey-ish liquorice boiled sweet) are better on an everyday level, as they'er not as sugary.
